Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police are warning the public regarding a number of reports of counterfeit £20 notes being passed as genuine.These notes may seem genuine but businesses and members of the public should take care when handling all twenty pound notes.
The suspects will either pass them as genuine when attempting to buy goods or services or more recently offenders have approached an unsuspecting member of the public and asked that they change a twenty-pound note for smaller denominations.
